Mother's Day is a very special day to us. YENSA was founded on beauty rituals that were carried by many generations of mothers and grandmothers past. Our Founder & CEO, Jennifer Yen, was inspired by the superfood integration that was introduced to her by her own mother, and she knew she needed to bring this to women everywhere. If you haven't had time to buy that special woman in your life a gift yet, we suggest our Mother's Day Bundle! Join the tradition, and share the superfood glow with your loved ones.

To celebrate, we asked our creator some questions about being a mom!

1. What is your favorite memory of you and your mother?

"My mother always made me chicken soup with Asian herbs, ginger and black mushrooms in a slow cooker when I wasn't feeling well."

2. Is there a tradition that your mother did with you as a child that you would like to continue with your daughter?

"My mother encouraged me to spend a lot of time with my grandmother who partially raised me. And now I encourage my daughter to spend a lot of time with my mom who is helping raise my daughter."

3. What is the most important lesson you have learned from your mother?

"My mother always encouraged me to be financially independent, to invest in myself and to maintain good health."

4. What advice can you give other mothers who are balancing work life and mom life as well?

"I always remember this quote, 'you can't be what you can't see.' I know balancing work and parenting is difficult but all working mothers are setting a great example for their children. Also, taking care of yourself should always be a priority because if moms are healthy, happy and strong, kids will be too."

5. Lastly, what has being a mother taught you?

"A lot of patience! I love being a mom, it has taught me to love more, be more responsible and less selfish. And the best part is that my daughter has taught me to be a child again :)"

We hope you all have a Happy Mother's Day, no matter how you are celebrating! Don't forget to tag us in your mother & daughter masking photos.
