It has also been clinically proven to reduce heart disease, stroke, and cancer. Devoting a small period of our time each day to implement these practices into our routines can create lasting benefits.

Reading
Reading is a great way to give your mind a break from reality. Even reading for 30 minutes to an hour a day can strengthen your brain. Taking time out of your day for this activity can improve your memory, reduce stress, and build self-esteem.

Take a walk
Staying in your work environment during periods of rest never leaves you time to move away from work. Taking a daily walk, outside of your normal environment can allow your mind to take a break from any stressors. It gives you time to step away from your surroundings into something new. When you step back into your work, you’ll feel refreshed and renewed.

Make yourself a Superfoods meal
Eating is something we can do to take care of ourselves physically and mentally. We like to focus on the use of Superfoods in our daily lives through our makeup and skincare, but they are also essential to our diets. Creating meals with some of our favorite Superfoods can help your body fight off bacteria, protect your organs from toxins, regulate your metabolism, and more.

Your skincare routine
Taking the time to care for your skin gives you time to unwind at the end of your day. Although this is something we do every day for ourselves, we can elevate this routine to turn it into self-care. Incorporating a mask into your nightly skincare routine gives you extra time to unwind and breathe. Our Pumpkin Turmeric 2-in-1 Radiance Polishing Mask only takes 10 minutes to help you unwind and scrub the day away.

Unplug for a day
We spend more time on our phones than we do away from them. Sometimes we need a break from technology to reset our minds and body. Take a day off from your phone and embrace your surroundings, you may find something new around you!
-
Prioritize your rest
In our busy world, it can be tempting to leave our schedules with little time to rest. Schedule time out of your day to put your work away and focus on your rest. It’s important to rest our minds and remind ourselves that sleep is more important than the work in front of us. Instead of setting a timer for when you should start your work, set a timer for when it’s time to rest.
-
Take a warm bath
Taking a bath can relieve muscle tension and joint pain, as well as improve your sinuses. During your bath play relaxing music or listen to a podcast to help you unwind. Take 30 minutes to an hour out of your day to enjoy this time to rest mentally and physically.
-
Create a gratitude list
Oftentimes we let the bad parts of our day overshadow the good. At the end of each day, sit down with a journal and write down what you were grateful for that day. This allows you to close the day on a positive note, opposed to dwelling on the negative.
